I am glad and honored to come to you with my testimony; I hope you will be encouraged as I am.

Years ago, I decided to do things out of the will of God and detour from my upbringing. I stop attending church, and I started dating my childhood friend. She became pregnant, and we moved in together without being married, setting the wrong example for my son and his siblings. To add to this, my passion like most men were sports, and I started hanging out with the guys drinking and smoking while watching the games on TV.

My best friend and I started thinking “BIG” and decided to bring the party to the sporting events, amongst a few other things. We formed a traveling group, and we attended most of the College’s Championship events, the RED SOX World Series, and NHL hockey games. We also visited every baseball field and football stadium within the United States and attended FOUR Patriots Super Bowl games.

At Super Bowl XLII in Arizona, where the Patriots were favored to win over the Giants, is where my testimony really begins. We sold so many tickets to that particular game. I was having the time of my life and felt like I was part of the Patriots organization. However, when the game was over, WE HAD LOST!
Driving back from the game, I began to see the big picture, I thought, “this is ridiculous” it’s a game. I looked at the years that I had dedicated my life to the Game of Sports, now here I am mourning over a lost game. All the wasted time, investing thousands of dollars, worshiping people that didn’t care about me, or even know my name. I was not liking how I was living my life at that moment; I was failing in my relationships with everyone and everything that was important in my life.

I was losing out on my relationship with God, my family, my self-esteem, my integrity, and morals. Losing it all for the game, I had to make some changes. I thank GOD for His grace and mercy towards me; he gave me the heart and mind to go back to my church. I was welcomed with open arms. They prayed with me, and I RE-DEDICATED MY LIFE BACK TO GOD.

God delivered me from drinking, smoking and the ungodly lifestyle I had adopted. Now my focus is on JESUS and His will for my life. I saw how God took a negative situation (a lost of a game) and brought a lifetime of positive results.

If anyone is reading this and you are losing in the game of life, I strongly encourage you to give it to Jesus, He is a game changer. I am so glad He changed my game.
